The La Manga Club Resort is home to its very own cricket club being La Manga Torrevieja Cricket Club (LMTCC) . The cricket club fields 2 teams; a first XI that plays within the Eastern and Central Cricket League playing against sides from Madrid, Valencia (Levante CC) , Benidorm (Sporting Alfas CC), Bonalba Resort (Intellectuals CC) and also a Development XI that plays a series of friendly fixtures to bring on our younger players and giving an opportunity for perhaps the senior players within the Club to enjoy and have a runout onto the pitch.
The cricket club is extremely fortunate to play on 2 excellent artificial wickets on the aptly named Baroness Rachel Heyhoe Flint Oval and the Gregory Peters Oval. Thanks also to considerable investment made by La Manga Club SL and Cricket Ireland and Scotland the club is able to train in what are arguably the best outdoor facilities in mainland Europe.
LMTCC has now an established annual Tour to play on the Costa del Sol at Cartama and is very proud to have lady members and players included in our teams. The club volunteers where possible to help the Resort in hosting England county sides playing at La Manga and also various T20 tournaments held at La Manga Club during the year.
